International News: The United States has listed TRF as a terrorist group, but it is not the only one; there are 80 terrorist organisations operating in Pakistan. Lashkar, Jaish, TTP, and ISIS operate openly throughout Punjab, Sindh, Khyber, and Balochistan. They have posed a significant threat not only to India but also to world security. These terrorist organisations have posed a significant threat not just to India, but also to Afghanistan and Western countries. According to data, Pakistan has 80 terrorist organisations; several of them have already been declared banned by either the Pakistani government or foreign organisations.

Most terrorist organisations in Punjab

Pakistan's Punjab area is often regarded as the most important hub for terrorist organisations. There are 34 terrorist organisations active here. These organisations include Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM), Jamaat-ud-Dawa (JuD), and Lashkar-e-Jhangvi (LeJ), all of which have been suspected of carrying out several assaults in India.

Some prominent organisations active in Punjab include Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM), Jamaat-ud-Dawa (JuD), Lashkar-e-Jhangvi (LeJ), 313 Brigade, Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), and Falah-e-Insaniyat Foundation (FIF).

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan are also not behind

There are 21 terrorist organisations operating in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. These include groups such as Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), Hizbul Tahrir, Lashkar-e-Islami, and the Islamic Movement of Uzbekistan. At the same time, 19 terrorist organisations operate in Balochistan province. Baloch nationalist organisations such as the BLA, BRA, and BRAS are active here, engaging in armed resistance to the Pakistani government.

Sindh: centre of the terrorism network

According to recent sources, Sindh province, particularly Karachi, has become an active centre of operation for various terrorist organisations. There are more than 13 organisations active here. Al Qaeda, Sipah-e-Sahaba Pakistan (SSP), Sipah-e-Muhammad Pakistan (SMP), Lashkar-e-Jhangvi (LeJ), Daesh (ISIS), Jamaat-ul-Ahrar (JuA), People's Peace Committee (PAC), and the Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA)

Shia-Sunni conflict

The dispute between Pakistan's Shia and Sunni communities has also resulted in the formation of numerous terrorist organisations. Anti-Shia organisations include Sipah-e-Sahaba Pakistan (SSP), Lashkar-e-Jhangvi (LEJ), and Tehreek-e-Nifaz-e-Shariat-e-Mohammadi (TNSM). At the same time, organisations such as Sipah-e-Muhammad Pakistan (SMP) have emerged to promote the Shia community, which is engaged in extremist activities.

Al Qaeda, ISIS and Islamic Jihad Union

Many Pakistani terrorist organisations are affiliated to international organisations such as Al Qaeda, ISIS, and the Islamic Jihad Union. This reinforces the charge against Pakistan that it has become an epicentre of global terrorism. So the final line is that the US move against TRF is merely a signal. The underlying problem is that these terrorist organisations, which have been expanding in Pakistan for decades, have suddenly emerged as a genuine threat to regional and global security.
