Chandigarh: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has emerged as the biggest winner in Punjab’s Municipal Corporation and Municipal Council elections, delivering a major political statement ahead of the 2027 Assembly polls. The results triggered jubilant celebrations at the party headquarters, where workers gathered in large numbers to mark the occasion with drumbeats, dancing, and sweets.

As counting trends consistently favored AAP throughout the day, party leaders and supporters began arriving at the state office to celebrate what they described as a historic mandate from the people of Punjab.
