Punjab Civic Polls Deliver Massive Boost To AAP, Opposition Trails Behind
The Aam Aadmi Party has emerged as the dominant force in Punjab’s municipal elections, securing an emphatic mandate across several urban local bodies. Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann said the results reflect public confidence in governance, welfare initiatives, and development-focused policies while rejecting traditional political narratives.
Speaking after the results, Bhagwant Mann described the outcome as a clear endorsement of his government’s performance. He said Punjab’s voters had chosen progress over political rhetoric and demonstrated their faith in policies aimed at improving everyday life. The Chief Minister maintained that the municipal poll results dealt a significant setback to the Congress, Shiromani Akali Dal, and BJP.
