Raipur: Spiritual leader Devkinandan Thakur Maharaj said that a person's true identity is not built by wealth, status or power, but by selfless service to society. Addressing devotees during the third day of his ongoing Shrimad Bhagwat Katha in Raipur, he said that service to humanity is the highest form of worship and the greatest path to attaining God's blessings. Rajya Sabha MP Laxmi Verma also attended the Katha, took blessings, and listened to the story.

What did the organizing committee say?

Yogesh Agarwal of the organizing committee stated that a "no tilak, no entry" rule has been established at the Katha venue, which the devotees followed with complete devotion and discipline. During the Katha, Devkinandan Thakur said that service is greater than position and prestige in life.

He said that God-given positions should be for the service of society and those in need. He said that selfless service is the greatest mark of a person.

Devotees gather in large numbers

Maharaj, narrating the story of Dhruva and King Bali, said that one should not wait for a certain age to worship God. One should engage in the name of God, spiritual company, and service from childhood. He said that ego is bound to end, and humans will surely reap the rewards of their actions. Therefore, one should adopt the path of truth, service, kindness, and virtue in life.

The Shrimad Bhagwat is not just a religious story, but a source of wisdom that guides life. Today, people find time for entertainment, but arrive late for the Lord's story. If satsang and devotion are also part of life, peace and contentment are attained.

The organisers said the Bhagwat Katha will continue until July 14, with devotees expected to participate in large numbers over the remaining days.
