Rahul Gandhi accused the Election Commission of colluding with the BJP to win the election in Mahadevapura by adding more than 1 lakh fake votes. Along with this, he demanded an investigation from the Karnataka government.

Rahul Gandhi: Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi has levelled serious allegations against the Election Commission (ECI) and said that the Commission is colluding with the BJP to 'steal seats and elections' in the country. Addressing a big Congress rally at Freedom Park in Bengaluru on Friday, he demanded the Karnataka government investigate the alleged "vote fraud" in the Mahadevapura assembly seat and take strict action against the officials involved in it. Rahul Gandhi claims that 100,250 fake votes were prepared in Mahadevapura to ensure BJP's victory during the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. He demanded the Election Commission make public the electronic voter data of the last 10 years and the videography done at the polling stations.

'BJP's voters increased by creating fake votes

Rahul Gandhi said, "In our six months of research, by combining the photographs of lakhs of voter ID cards, it was found that fake addresses were created, hundreds of voters were registered at one address, wrong photographs were used, and names of new voters were added by misusing Form-6." He alleged that the Election Commission increased the voter count in favor of the BJP by adding duplicate voters.

'Modi came to power by stealing 25 seats'

Rahul Gandhi said, "Mahadevpura is just one example. Prime Minister Narendra Modi stole 25 seats to remain in power, which were won by a margin of about 34,000 votes."He warned, "If the electronic data is not given, we will continue our investigation and campaign. This crime is not only against the people of Karnataka but against the entire country."

The Karnataka government should take action

Rahul Gandhi demanded, "The Karnataka government should investigate this 'criminal act' and take strict action against ECI officials who added thousands of fake votes." He said that the Election Commission should work for the Constitution, not for the BJP.

PM Modi should resign: Chief Minister Siddaramaiah

Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah said, "Prime Minister Narendra Modi no longer has the moral right to remain in office. Rahul Gandhi's 'vote fraud' revelations have shown that he has stolen seats to remain in power." Deputy CM DK Shivakumar said at the rally that Rahul Gandhi wants "legal banks" to be created at every polling station to protect the rights of voters. He assured that work will be done in this direction, like there are blood banks.
