After Raja’s death, Sonam disappeared, triggering a 17-day manhunt across states. Her trail went cold until June 8, 2025, when she surfaced at 1 AM at Kashi Dhaba in Ghazipur, Uttar Pradesh, over 1,600 km from Shillong. Disoriented, she made a video call to her brother, alerting the dhaba owner, who contacted police via 112.
