DU Admission 2026: Record 2.73 Lakh Students Apply For UG Courses, Seat Allotment From July 16
Delhi University has seen the highest number of registrations for undergraduate courses since 2022. Over 2.73 lakh candidates have applied for the 2026-27 academic session, of which 218,284 have completed their registration.
New Delhi: Undergraduate admissions are currently underway at Delhi University (DU), and the wait is finally over for students who have applied under the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS). The university is about to release the first seat allotment list on July 16.
When will the university release first allotment list?
According to the schedule, the first seat allotment list will be released on July 16. The second phase of the undergraduate admission process began on July 3 and concluded on July 11. According to Delhi University, over 2.73 lakh applications have been received for admission.
According to university officials, 273,751 candidates have registered on the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) portal. 206,835 candidates have also submitted their preferred course and college choices under the second phase of the admission process. According to university officials, this is the highest number of registrations since 2022.
From when will the classes start?
The university will release the first seat allotment list on July 16. The list will be posted on the Delhi University portal. After the list is released, students will have to accept their seats. This will be followed by a document verification process. Admission fees will be paid for this process. Students who complete these steps will be admitted. After this entire process is complete, the new academic session is expected to begin on July 28.
Admissions are open across 67 DU colleges. These admissions are open for admission to 73 undergraduate programs and over 100 BA program combinations. Students are being granted admission based solely on their CUET-UG 2026 scores.
