Flight AI171, en route to London, crashed minutes after takeoff from Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport, killing 241 passengers and crew.  Preliminary reports suggest a possible engine failure, though the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) is conducting a thorough investigation.
