India's biggest enemy Masood Azhar killed in Operation Sindoor! Bahawalpur mosque was his hiding place

The main objective of the attack, known as Operation Sindoor, was to destroy the jihadi infrastructure of Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) and Lashkar-e-Taiba, two terrorist groups that have been responsible for several major attacks on Indian soil in the last three decades.

Operation Sindoor: After 15 days, India has taken revenge from Pakistan for the Pahalgam terrorist attack. The Indian Army demolished the Bahawalpur training center in Pakistan's Punjab. The leader of the terrorists used to run a training center from here. It was founded by the notorious terrorist Masood Azhar. He was also behind the terrorist attack on the Parliament. The Indian Army attacked terrorist hideouts in Pakistan throughout the night. In this, prominent places in Kotli, Muridke and Bahawalpur were targeted. The mosque in Bahawalpur, which the army had blown up, was often used by terrorist Masood Azhar to spend the night.

Attacks confirmed at nine locations

Pak has confirmed attacks at nine locations in these areas. The main objective of this attack, known as Operation Sindoor, was to destroy the jihadi infrastructure of Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) and Lashkar-e-Taiba. These are two terrorist groups that are responsible for several major attacks on Indian soil in the last three decades. It is being claimed that Masood Azhar has also been killed in this attack. Masood Azhar had been hiding for several months. He came out of his hideout in the last months of last year 2024. He was then seen in Bahawalpur. It is suspected that Masood Azhar has been killed in the Indian Army's attack. There has been no official confirmation yet.

Bahawalpur was targeted for this

Bahawalpur, Pakistan's 12th largest city, serves as the operational hub for Jaish-e-Mohammed, one of the most notorious terrorist organizations operating in the region. The group's main base of operations is the Jamia Masjid Subhan Allah complex, also known as the Usman-o-Ali Complex, in Bahawalpur, about 400 km from Lahore. Jamia Masjid Subhan Allah, a sprawling complex spread over 18 acres, was one of the main locations targeted by the Indian Army during Operation Sindoor. The complex is not only a religious site but also serves as a central location for Jaish-e-Mohammed's recruitment, fundraising and ideology-promoting activities. The complex has long been a strategic asset for the organization, aiding its operational and ideological influence.

Masood Azhar's connection with Bahawalpur

Bahawalpur is also significant because it is the birthplace and residence of Maulana Masood Azhar, the founder of Jaish-e-Mohammed. Azhar, who has played a key role in plotting several high-profile attacks on Indian soil, lives in a high-security compound in the city. Its presence in Bahawalpur reflects the city's deep ties to Jaish-e-Mohammed's operations and the personal ties of its leadership to the region.
