Mixed reviews for Jr NTR's War 2 teaser: Can he match Hrithik Roshan's energy?
The teaser of 'War 2' did not impress the audience much despite Jr NTR's Bollywood debut, there is criticism for weak VFX and lack of energy.

The trailer of 'War 2', the sequel to Bollywood's action series 'War', is out today and its release is also special, as today is the birthday of South megastar Junior NTR too. With this film, NTR is making his Bollywood debut and this time he is going to be seen playing the character of Villain. But the moment the teaser is out, the audience's opinion on social media has been split. Most netizens failed to notice the energy in the teaser that was noticeable in the first part between Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff.
Mixed reactions on social media
The moment the teaser came out, #War2Teaser went trending on social media, but along with trending, criticism was also observed. One of the users commented – #War2Teaser will not lie but there were only #tigershroff who could match up with Hrithik.
One of them said, "#War2Teaser disappointing!! VFX is very poor. Green screens are really bad. It feels really fake to run on a train. The war sequel was not anticipated to be of such bad quality. Also, does not match the energy #TigerShroff (sic) of the #JrNTR.
Poor VFX and 'lack of enthusiasm' become major grudge
The teaser had great hopes from the audience, but most felt that its VFX was very poor. Criticism regarding the scene escaping on the train was that it is extremely fake and green screen based. Other than this, the absence of chemistry between Hrithik and Jr NTR was also noted. Kiara Advani's appearance lasted only for a glimpse in the teaser, which left her fans disappointed as well.
Hrithik Roshan made the teaser life
There was one thing that everybody noticed in the teaser - Hrithik Roshan. Even at 51 years of age, his screen presence, style and action mode were so dominant that he could still hold their own against young stars. According to users, this teaser is more or less a treat for Hrithik fans.
Will it catch up at the box office?
Directed by Ayan Mukerji, the film will be released on August 14, 2025, i.e. on Independence Day weekend. Being a franchise film, the opening is likely to be good, but seeing the reaction of the teaser, it is difficult to say whether the film will be able to meet the expectations of the audience or not.
