Disha Patani House Firing Case: Two gangsters who opened fire outside Bollywood actress Disha Patani's home in Bareilly were killed in an encounter in Ghaziabad. The encounter occurred on Wednesday evening in a joint operation by the Delhi Police Special Cell, the Uttar Pradesh Special Task Force (STF), and the Haryana Special Task Force (STF).

The criminals killed in the encounter, Ravinder (Rohtak) and Arun (Sonipat), were associated with the notorious Rohit Godara-Goldy Brar gang. The two came to police attention when bike-borne assailants opened fire outside Disha Patni's home around 3:30 a.m. on September 12th. A social media account linked to Goldy Brar later claimed responsibility for the incident.

Investigating agencies identified Ravinder based on CCTV footage. The UP STF tracked his movements using technical surveillance and crime databases. Investigations revealed that both accused had reached Ghaziabad. On Monday, a team led by ACP Dharmendra Singh and SI Manjit Singh pinpointed their location near Tronica City.

Events of the encounter

Police stopped the criminals' motorcycle around 7:20 pm on Wednesday and asked them to surrender. However, the two men suddenly opened fire, striking a police officer and the vehicle. Police retaliated by firing, injuring both men. Ravinder and Arun died from gunshot wounds to the chest and neck.Haryana STF Superintendent of Police Wasim Akram further said, "When he was caught on a road near Tronica City, he started firing. Police retaliated and caught him. He was taken to a nearby hospital, but he had already died."

Four policemen were also injured in the encounter. ACP Pramod Singh Kushwaha said, "In the encounter, SI Rohit was shot in the left hand, while HC Kailash was injured in the right hand. UP STF head constables Ankur and Jai were also injured." Police recovered a stolen bike, a Zigana pistol and a Glock Gen-5 pistol from the spot.
