Bhojpuri Star Pawan Singh’s Home Robbed: ₹15 Lakh in Jewellery, Cash Stolen

Bhojpuri actor Pawan Singh’s family home in Arrah’s Maruti Nagar was targeted by thieves, who made off with nearly ₹15 lakh in gold, silver jewellery, cash, and 30 cartridges.

File

The residence of Bhojpuri actor Pawan Singh in Arrah’s Maruti Nagar was targeted in a daring burglary, with thieves making off with nearly ₹15 lakh in valuables. The incident, which occurred at the home of his first wife’s parents, has prompted a police investigation after an FIR was filed by Singh’s elder brother, Ranu Singh.

A Bold Break-In

The thieves gained entry by smashing a window of the single-story house in Maruti Nagar, a quiet neighborhood in Bihar’s Arrah district. Once inside, they ransacked the premises, stealing gold and silver jewelry valued at approximately ₹12 lakh, ₹3 lakh in cash, and 30 firearm cartridges. The burglary took place around 1:30 am, when the household was asleep, and was discovered early Tuesday morning when residents noticed the broken window and missing items. The theft of cartridges, likely stored for licensed firearms, has raised additional concerns about the culprits’ intentions.

Family and Police Response

The house belongs to Pawan Singh but is occupied by the parents of his first wife, Jyoti Singh, who passed away in 2015. Pawan Singh, a prominent Bhojpuri actor and singer known for hits like “Lollipop Lagelu,” was not present during the incident. His elder brother, Ranu Singh, promptly lodged an FIR at the Arrah Town police station against unidentified thieves under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita for theft and housebreaking. Police have formed a special team to investigate, collecting fingerprints, reviewing CCTV footage from nearby areas, and questioning neighbors. Superintendent of Police Rakesh Kumar assured swift action to apprehend the culprits.

Community Shock and Security Concerns

The high-profile theft has sent shockwaves through Maruti Nagar, a relatively calm locality. Residents are now questioning local security measures, urging authorities to increase night patrols. The incident highlights the vulnerability of even prominent households to organized crime, especially in smaller cities like Arrah.

Ongoing Investigation

As police intensify their probe, Pawan Singh’s family awaits justice. The actor has not yet commented publicly, but sources close to him indicate his concern for his family’s safety. The case underscores the need for enhanced security and vigilance, with hopes that the stolen items and culprits are soon recovered.
